# Godly (Godliness)

||
|
The word “godly” can be used when talking about either a person or a thing. A “godly” person is a person who lives in a way that honors God (see: Acts 2:5; Titus 2:12). A “godly” thing is something that is true and that shows what God is like (see: 2 Corinthians 1:12; 7:10; 1 Timothy 6:3).
