# Aquila ## Facts: Aquila was a Jewish Christian from the province of Pontus, a region along the southern coast of the Black Sea. * Aquila and Priscilla lived in Rome, Italy, for a time, but then the Roman emperor, Claudius, forced all Jews to leave Rome. * After that Aquila and Priscilla traveled to Corinth, where they met the apostle Paul. * They worked as tentmakers with Paul and also helped him with his missionary work. * Both Aquila and Priscilla taught believers the truth about Jesus; one of those believers was a gifted teacher named Apollos.
