## the brokenness of my people ##

The prophets and the priests treat the sins of the people of Israel as though they were a small wound. AT: "as though it were not serious." (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-metaphor]])
## Peace! Peace! when there is no peace ##
"'All is well! All is well!' but it is not well"
## Were they ashamed when they committed abominations? ##
"They committed terrible sins, and they were not ashamed" (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-rquestion]])
## They were not ashamed at all, they did not experience any humility ##
These two sentences have similar meanings. The second one strengthens the thought in the first. (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-parallelism]]) "they were not ashamed of what they did"
