The wicked expect to destroy their victims in the same way Sheol, the place of the dead, takes away even healthy people.

These words could be 1) a literal reference to travelers who fall into a deep hole where no one will ever find them or 2) a euphemism for people who die and enter Sheol, the place of the dead. (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-euphemism]])
