#### More Information About This Topic
A person can boast in a good way. For example, it is good to boast in God and the things he has done (see: Psalm 44:8; 105:3; Romans 5:2; see also Romans 5:3-5; 15:17; 1 Corinthians 1:31; 15:31; 2 Corinthians 1:12-14; 7:4; 10:17).
However, a person can also boast in a sinful way. A person is sinning when they boast about the things they have or the things they have done, but they do not say God gave everything to them (see: Psalm 10:3; Romans 1:29-30; 1 Corinthians 4:7; James 4:16). A person also is sinning when they boast in a false god instead of the one true God (see: Psalm 97:7). A person who boasts in themselves or who is boastful does not love God or other people (see: 1 Corinthians 13:4).
