"4": "And Moses cried out to Yahweh, saying, “What should I do for these people? A little longer and they will stone me.” ",
"5": "And Yahweh said to Moses, “Pass before the face of the people, and take with you some of the elders of Israel, and your staff, the one with which you struck the river, take in your hand; and go. ",
"6": "Watch me; I will stand before your face there on the rock at Horeb, and you will strike the rock. And water will come out of it, and the people will drink.” And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. ",
"7": "And he called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, for the conflict of the sons of Israel, and for the testing of Yahweh by saying, “Is Yahweh among us or not?”\n\n\\s5\n\\p ",
"8": "And Amalek came, and fought with Israel at Rephidim. ",
"9": "And Moses said to Joshua, “Choose men for us and go out. Fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will be stationed on top of the hill, with the staff of God in my hand.” ",
"10": "And Joshua did what Moses instructed him, to fight Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur climbed up to the top of the hill.\n\n\\s5 ",
"11": "And so it was, when Moses raised his hand, then Israel was winning; and when he set his hand down, then Amalek was winning. ",
"12": "And the hands of Moses became heavy; and they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur held his hands up, one on one side, and one on the other. And so his hands held steady until the sun went down. ",
"13": "And Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.\n\n\\s5 ",
"14": "And Yahweh said to Moses, “Write this memory in a book and impress it on the ears of Joshua, because by blotting out, I will blot out the memory of Amalek from under the skies.” ",
"15": "And Moses built an altar and he called its name “Yahweh is my banner.” ",
"16": "And he said, “Because a hand was on the throne of Yah—that war will come from Yahweh to Amalek from generation to generation.”\n\n\n\\s5",
