The next morning the people saw that someone had torn down and destroyed the __altar__, and they were very angry. They went to __Gideon's__ house to kill him, but Gideon's father said, “__Why are you trying to help your god__? __If he is a god__, __let him protect himself__!” Because he said this, the people did not kill Gideon.
