# true, truth ## Definition: The term “truth” refers to facts, events, and statements that correspond with reality. True facts describe the universe as it really exists. True events are events that actually happened. True statements are statements that are not false according the real world. * "True" things are real, genuine, actual, rightful, legitimate, and factual. * "Truth" means understandings, beliefs, facts, or statements that are true. * To say that a prophecy “came true” or “will come true” mean that it actually happened as predicted or that it will happen that way. * In the Bible the concept of "truth" includes the concept of acting in a way that is reliable and faithful. * Jesus revealed God’s truth in the words that he spoke. * The Bible is truth.
