# gossip, gossips, talk nonsense ## Definition: The term “gossip” refers to talking to people about someone else’s personal affairs, usually in a negative and unproductive way. Often what is talked about has not been confirmed as true. * The Bible says that spreading negative information about people is wrong. Gossip and slander are examples of this kind of negative speech. * Gossip is harmful to the person being spoken about because it often hurts someone’s relationships with other people.
