## Cut her trees ##

"Cut down the trees." Yahweh is speaking to the army that will attack Jerusalem.

||

## siegeworks ##

||

"siege mounds." These are mounds of dirt that will allow the enemy to attack the walls of Jerusalem.
|
||
|
|
||
|
## because it is filled with oppression ##
|
||
|
|
||
|
"because its people are always oppressing each other"
|
||
|
|
||
|
## Just as a well keeps giving water, so this city keeps producing wickedness ##
|
||
|
|
||
|

## Violence and disorder are heard in her ##
