## Jesus Prayed for Peter [38-09] ##

__Peter__ replied, “Even if all the others __abandon you__, I will not!” Then __Jesus__ said to Peter, “__Satan__ wants __to have all of you__, but I have __prayed__ for you, Peter, __that your faith will not fail__. Even so, tonight, __before the rooster crows__, you will deny that you even know me three times.”

* __that your faith will not fail__ - That is, "that you will not stop believing in me."
* __before the rooster crows__ - Roosters normally crow at the first light of the new day. If that is not clear, it may be helpful to say, "Before the rooster crows at dawn tomorrow" or, "before the rooster crows tomorrow morning."
