Uriyanın ölümündən sonra Davud Bat-Şeva ilə evləndi. Sonra Bat- Şeva ona oğul doğdu. Allah Davudun belə hərəkətinə görə çox qəzəbləndi. O, Davudun yanına Natan peyğəmbəri yolladı ki, onun ağır günah etdiyini söyləsin. Davud tövbə etdi və Allah onu bağışladı. Bundan sonra Davud hətta çətin vaxtlarında belə, ömrünün axırına qədər Allaha itaət etdi.
