## We have this prophetic word made sure ##

## to which you do well to attend ##

Peter is saying to the believers to pay close attention to the prophetic message.

## It is like a lamp shining in a dark place until the morning comes ##

## and the morning star rises in your hearts ##

The morning star is Christ coming to live in the believers heart. (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-metaphor]])

## but by men carried along by the Holy Spirit who spoke from God ##

Men who were controlled by the Holy Spirit and spoke what God told them.
