  "3": "Then the water steadily went down from {the surface of} the land. After the 150 days {had passed}, the water had gone down\n\n\\ts\\* ",
  "4": "so {much} that on the seventeenth day of the seventh month {of the year}, the boat came to rest on {one of} the mountains in the Ararat {mountain range}. ",
  "5": "The floodwaters continued to go down until on the first {day} of the tenth month {of the year}, the peaks of the {surrounding} mountains became visible {above the water}.\n\n\\ts\\*\n\\p",
  "6": "After forty {more} days {had passed}, Noah opened a window in the boat that he had made, ",
  "7": "and he released a raven, which kept flying back and forth until the water had dried up {more} from the land.\n\n\\ts\\* ",
  "8": "Meanwhile Noah {also} released a dove from the boat to find out if the water had gone down from the land. ",
  "9": "But water was {still} covering the entire earth, so the dove did not find anywhere to land and rest. Then it returned to Noah in the boat, and Noah reached out, caught it, and brought it {back} into the boat.\n\n\\ts\\* ",
  "10": "Noah waited seven more days, then he released the dove from the boat again. ",
  "11": "That evening the dove returned to him, and he saw that {it had} a fresh green olive {tree} leaf in its beak! That is how Noah realized that the water had gone down {further} from the land. ",
  "12": "Then he waited seven more days and he released the dove {again}, but {this time} it did not come back to him again.\n\n\\ts\\*\n\\p",
  "13": "So it was, when {Noah was} 601 years old, on the first {day} of the first month {of the year}, the water had {almost} dried up from the land. So Noah took off {part of} the roof of the boat and looked {around}, and he saw that {much of} the land’s surface was {almost} dry. ",
  "14": "Then by the twenty-seventh day of the second month {of the year}, the land had dried off.\n\n\\ts\\*\n\\p",

  "16": "“Come out of the boat, together with your wife, your sons, and your sons’ wives. ",
  "17": "Bring out all the animals that {are} with you, all of them, including the birds, tame animals, and every {other} animal that moves on land. Then they can live all over the earth; {yes,} they will have many young and increase {in number} {all} over the earth.”\n\n\\ts\\* ",
  "18": "So Noah came out {of the boat}, along with his wife and his sons and their wives. ",

  "20": "Then Noah made an altar {out of large stones} {to offer sacrifices} to Yahweh. Next he chose {some} of every {kind of} animal and bird that is acceptable to sacrifice, and he {killed them and} burned {their bodies} on the altar as an offering {to Yahweh} {to worship him}. ",
  "21": "Yahweh smelled the aroma {of the offerings} and was pleased, and he thought to himself, “Never again will I curse the ground because of mankind{’s sins}, {even} though everything they desire and think about {is} evil from the time they are children. And never again will I destroy all living {creatures} the way I {just} did.\n\\q1 ",
  "22": "As long as the earth {still} exists,\n\\q2\n{each year} there will always be a season to plant seeds and a season to harvest {crops},\n\\q2\nas well as cold weather and hot weather,\n\\q2\nsummer and winter,\n\\q2\nand day and night.”\n\n\\ts\\*",
