# Philip, the apostle ## Facts: Philip the apostle was one of the original twelve disciples of Jesus. He was from the town of Bethsaida. * Philip brought Nathanael to meet Jesus. * Jesus questioned Philip about how to provide food for a crowd of over 5,000 people. * At the last Passover supper that Jesus ate with his disciples, he talked to them about God, his Father. Philip asked Jesus to show them the Father. * Some languages may prefer to spell this Philip’s name in a different way from the other Philip (the evangelist) to avoid confusion.
